Ok I know about the PCV system and Jod's excellent right up on the subject of replacing it all which I will be doing in the near future...I do have the typical smoke from the dipstick at idle and had the leaking oil filler cap but I recently cleaned out the flametrap housing to the inlet pipe to throttle body (and cleaned the throttle body whilst I was there and I did a test today and there is white sludge in the pipework/flametrap housing but there is smoke coming out of it at idle (it was removed at the time...) and still the dipstick is smoking when removed a little. So something is getting through the system just not enough.! Questions - is it cleaning itself out after I have cleaned the blocked flametrap housing or is there something a miss? Are these the right parts for mine (97 2.5 10v V70) (however this one does not look like the kit on the car which has two pipes from the flametrap housing back to the oil trap area??) I know I will need a gasket for the inlet manifold and throttle body...are these best purchased from Volvo? Many thanks for your help.

Thank you! I can't seem to find the part on PFV with the two pipes in the one sleeve like this one . They only seem to have them for the turbo models?? :err:

I presume that if I go for the 850 10v 97 version it will fit my 97 10v V70?? Is there any difference? I'm guessing no...
