I like to record an acoustic guitar on two different tracks with two different mics. When I play them back I pan them one far left and the other far right. Doing that they end up in the center. The way I get around this is to change the phase on one of them. Is this the correct way to get that two separate, spread out guitars sound? wondering cliff

Since you have 2 mics you should try mid/side recording if you can set one of your mics to a figure 8 pattern.

Are you sure each track has the correct input selected? Try recording the same way you have been, but snap a finger into each mic back and forth to make sure you're actually recording a separate signal for each track and not just duplicating the same input.
