one project load hangs. others don't.

It seems to be a connection with a Slate plugin. I did the update to reaper today.

Have reported it as a possible bug to reaper bug forum. I see now for me that it has something to do with the gui of the vtm. With that project that won't open, it has the vtm gui open as the last thing to load and it just hangs there. Reaper also seizes up when I add vtm to an effects chain.

^^^ Can you load the VST2 version into a new project? If so, and if you know what you're doing, you might try renaming the problematic VST3 plug-in so that Reaper cannot find it AND editing the .rpp file to refer to the VST2 version. Make back-ups first, of course, and tread carefully.

Thanks. I have gone back to a backed up version of the project that thankfully all recorded material is there but the vtm gui isn't last thing to load. It's working and I'm going to go with it for now. I am able to load the vtm in the effects chain now. The problem before was when I was copying a track and all it's effects... I believe. Anyway, I will go now with what's working now and see if I have to try your suggestions later.
