Hi guys, here's a short 5-song EP with mostly mellow/melancholic tunes, if you're in that sort of mood. Also, a big thank-you to Justin and the crew for creating Reaper, it's been great! And thanks for listening.
I like it a lot. Also very well recorded and mixed. It's funny that you excuse yourself for your singing, I understand this very well,a lot of people aren't happy with their own voice or vocal skills, I feel the same about mine. But your voice fits your music very well, probably because you automatically start writing songs that you think you'll still be able to sing. And that's how you develop your own style/sound instead of sounding like everybody else, and I think that's the best that can happen. MGB
Excellent production. Polished, clear, well-balanced, creative, skilled, unique, smooth. I liked your voice and singing style as well, but I know exactly how you feel. Really enjoyed this.
I just posted up my EP a couple of weeks ago and found the production critiques pretty interesting and informative so I really tried to find something to nit pick on your album, but I can't really find anything wrong at all. It sounds very pro. If you feel like sharing your production setup / method, I would definitely listen ;)
This is really great. I'm listening to Nostalgia at the moment, and it is an all together great composition. Did you study music in college? There is a very mature and wise sound to it. The piano reminds me of the band "The Reign of Kindo". Here's one of theirs: Shit, now that I listen to that song, a lot of it reminds me of your music. I want to say they all were music majors in college (but I can't be sure). But it also may be because they have a huge jazz influence (which you may as well) Yeah, not much to critique. But, you should take out that bit on your bandcamp that complains about your voice. It fits the music very well. No one likes a self-deprecating musician :) Do that shit in private, friend. I know the allure, as it kind of sets people up to have lower expectations and then you blow them away. But sometimes it can just turn people off from listening altogether. The reason I say that last bit is because I used to do the same thing until someone called me out on it, and said they really like my music but are completely turned off because I bash every track I release.
