Idle RPM

I just purchased a 1997 Volvo 850 sedan from my friend. I noticed the RPM when idle (at D) is about 1000. Is it normal? There is bearly little different when I shifted to N. In all my other cars, at D, the RPM is about 650. Thank you in advance. Wing

rpm should be 850
